The Govt. of India has issued notification to give effect to the provisions of The Post Office Act, 2023.
This Act intends to streamline the delivery of citizen-centric services and extend government’s benefits to the nation’s most distant and remote areas. It will also help India’s legislative framework for postal services and stamp duties.
The newly enacted Postal law provides a framework for prescribing standards for addressing of the items, address identifiers and usage of postcodes.
